Many products made with Bakelite also contain asbestos. Though it makes for a better product, the production workers may feel differently.

I have a Teddy Bear given to me by my cousin who worked at Bakelite in Bound Brook, NJ. The Bear is 52 years old with blue eyes and a nose of something, he was stuffed with foam rubber and that is deteiorated. My question is if I have him re furbished would it hurt his value? Thank you
