		<description>the first snowshoe that I made with the help of my father was in 1950.Since retiring in 1997 I took up this pass time on a full time basices.  I am always looking for old snowshoes ( single and broken0 to try to improve or do it the old way. I am orginally form the lower north Shore Quebec and third generation eskimo (Great Grandmother)Any pictures put on this site or direct email me would be appreciated.  Vincent</description>

		<description>Now that I see these snowshoes, I remember my first visit to relatives in Minnesota (in 1962), who immigrated from Germany. They lived on a farm where the next neighbour was in a 1 mile or more distance. And they had about 4 pairs of these snowshoes which we used for walks and visits.....How nostalgic. I just walked down memory lane. Thanks for the article!
