Every kitchen needs a quality-made, multifunctional cutting board — and these pieces by the husband-and-wife team behind Olivewood are some of the most beautiful ones we’ve seen. Handmade in the remote Italian countryside, the wood is sourced from fallen branches found in the couple's olive grove and is usually 5 - 10 years old. A food-safe mix of vegetable oil and local Italian beeswax seals the wood to protect the surface and gives it a water-resistant finish. We use them for everything from chopping up veggies for a home-cooked meal or serving meat and cheese for a few buddies. Because they’re handmade, each board is unique and will vary slightly in size and shape, giving it that serious artisanal touch that we’re always looking for.
